| OilTrax
consists of digital maps of Alberta, B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba
(Minimal oil related features in Manitoba). Maps are layered so
that more
detail appears as the map is zoomed closer in. At a distance, an
overlay
of the
Township
system
can be
seen with labels for quick reference. OilTrax road information is
the most up to date information available for GPS. OilTrax also has
the capability to generate routes and directions between multiple
points. |
|
|
| OilTrax contains locations of
many oil and gas batteries, facilities, compressing stations, etc.
Access roads to these locations are easily identified. OilTrax is
updated regularly to maintain integrity of data. OilTrax acquires
data from many sources, including the Government of Canada, satellite
and aerial imagery, customer information, GPS data logging, and others. |
|
| OilTrax has survey data for sections which are labelled and outlined
on the map, including road allowances. Road information is still
contained in the map when section lines are displayed. To display
section lines, simply zoom in on the map until they appear. |
|
| OilTrax has offroad information such as cutlines, wetlands, trails,
and other roads for navigation in harsh territory, or in winter conditions.
ATV, Snowmobile and Motorbike users will appreciate the additional
information which will aid in navigating to remote sites, as well
as provide information for recreational use. Always know where you
are and what is around you with OilTrax maps. |
|
| Where available, OilTrax offers pipeline data within the map. Major
pipelines are appear thicker on OilTrax than others, and are displayed
when zoomed in. A valuable asset for navigation. |
|
| One of the most commonly used and most useful components of OilTrax
is the ability to search for and navigate to legal land locations
in the Western Canadian oil and gas industry. With any compatible
Garmin GPS, OilTrax gives the ability to easily navigate to LSD locations
on updated maps, and have all of the OilTrax information displayed
while driving. All in all, OilTrax provides an unbeatable combination
of features for navigation in the industry. |
